In this project we learned how to assemble rockets by researching the different parts of a rocket, forces act on it when being shot into the sky, and kinematic equations to find height approximations to estimate how high they went.
In the beginning of this project, we first learned about the different parts of the rockets as well as aerodynamics and the different forces that act upon the rocket itself. We even looked up how to shape our fin for the desired outcome. After, we chose the different parts of the rocket; the nose cone and the body tube. We then designed our rocket's fins on Photoshop. Once we assembled the pieces of the rocket together, we spray-painted the rocket to our desired look. We then created a prototype based on our rocket's purpose. We then created a google slide presentation which we would later show at exhibition.
